Today, I'd like to share a true red blood shoe story. It was a very embarrassing moment for me and I don't want to remember that ever again! But because I'm joining a contest by The Red Shoes, I'll tell you what happened.
Aside from diamonds, I consider shoes as one of a woman's best friend. It's something that expresses your thought, mood or your own view of fashion. I remember one line in a Korean Novela (Boys Over Flower) about shoes. It was a line delivered by Shou Jin (I hope I spell it right), who was a model in the story. She said:
Good shoes can take you to good places.
And of course, I believe that. Different occasions call for different types of clothes and of course different shoes. In line with this, I say:
Bad shoes take you to bad places and bad moments.
It was a bright sunny afternoon during my senior year in college. Of course, I love wearing high-heeled shoes. It makes me tall and enhances my posture and adds some confidence to me. Since I'm always running here and there, taking care of all my subject requirements and running my organization, I never imagined that something bad, and yes I'd like to emphasize that it was really bad.
As I was running through different classrooms for different subjects and meetings, my red shoe just decided to give up on me. My feet are narrow so I guess it has to do with all the running I did for the past 6 months. It was super broken! I'm looking for someone I know, especially my male friends, to run an errand for me. But they all have their classes that time. So I decided to go to 7 eleven to buy slippers. As I was walking and pushing my shoe on the other side, it just got worse! The heels just gave up and the shoe is screaming like "just let me go!" Okay! Emo moment for my shoe and guess what? I walked with one high-heeled shoe on my right foot and barefooted on the other side. So it was really embarrassing!
After that, I make sure I have slippers in my bag so that the next time it happen, haha I'm super prepared!
