It was with great pleasure that I got invited in another National Artist Collection Series of Freeway. I am always thankful for this brand for trusting my blog and I in covering their latest events and clothing collection. This Fall of 2012, I witnessed how Freeway dipped its finger in one of mankind’s most beloved form of art – Music – through our National Artist Levi Celerio.
When you say Levi Celerio, I think of leaves. I’ve known him as that old man who creates fascinating harmony and music with just a leaf. See how Filipinos are really amazing?
Levi Celerio is a composer and song writer. Famous for being a lyricist, his songs treasure life; express nationalistic sentiments and complete grand philosophies. He is best recognized as a Guinness Book of World Record holder for being the only person able to make music using just a leaf. Celerio was proclaimed National Artist for Music and Literature in 1997.I used to see him in TV for documentaries about arts and music. Now, I can see him in Freeway’s latest collection.
I personally love this collection! I see edge, modern chic with a touch of art, music and patriotism.
The stellar collection includes beautiful modern tailored dresses, sublimation print graphic tees, woven tops in chiffons and poplins, sexy printed knit mini dresses and accessories printed with words and lyrics from some of the most famous works of Celerio which includes Sa Ugoy ng Duyan, Saan Ka Man Naroroon, Ikaw ang Mahal Ko, Ang Daigdig Ko’y Ikaw, Ang Pipit and O Maliwanag na Buwan.
